Glen Breton Ice 17yr Glen Breton Rare Canadian Single Malt Whisky is the only single malt whisky produced in Canada. It is produced by the traditional copper pot stills method using only three ingredients: barley, yeast and water. It cannot be called 'scotch' unless it is produced in Scotland, hence, Canadian Single Malt Whisky.
The aromas are medium-bodied, but pleasantly fiery, offering a tight combination of butterscotch, heather, honey and ground ginger with elongated, wood-infused undertones. This aromatic whisky presents a pleasing golden-yellow colour highlighted with hints of amber and orange.
The flavour is light to medium bodied with a noticable alcohol expression. It's creamy with a good flow of toasty wood, almond, caramel and just a subtle suggestion of charcoal and earthy peat. The finish lingers, ending with a quick bite of light, raw wood.
Single malt fanciers will prize the all-around balance of this rich yet smooth and subtle dram. Tell A Friend
