Using the same traditional distilling methods and original recipes of the early 19th Century, Okanagan Spirits gives you Taboo Genuine Absinthe. An award-winning Absinthe of 'Superior Quality' made in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada.
The cornucopia of fruit that is found on our doorstep is a great source of quality alcohol. Fruit alcohol gives our Taboo a much softer, less aggressive finish than alcohol made from grain.
No artificial flavors or essences are used in the production of any of the Okanagan Spirits products, and to give Taboo its unique aroma and taste we use whole herbs that consist of Fennel, Anise, Lemon Balm, Hyssop, Petite Wormwood and Grande Wormwood. All of these herbs grow wild in our back garden and can be readily found in many meadows and grasslands within Western Canada.

Made in the same tradional way than belle-epoque absinthe. I have drink taboo for a while everyday. And from my opinion Taboo merits our respect and our pride. This absinthe is made in Canada so its another reason to drink it. Canadian can be proud to have a genuine absinthe who is crafted in Canada, and Taboo also open the Canadian door to other genuines absinthes who will enter in the canadian market soon. The aromas are very fruity and just enough complex. The ingredient are only the basic ingredient found in absinthe : Grande Wormwood, Petite Wormwood, Green Anis, Star Anis, Fennel, Melissa(lemon balm) and Hyssop. Taboo is a sure value for everyone who want to try absinthe. But remember than all absinthes is different. Its what who make her beautiful. Its interesting to know than taboo absinthe is distillated with fruit alcool. The alcool base itself give a special taste to the drink. For some people its good for some other not. For me its good. It give to the absinthe a beautiful fruity Kick! Cheers! |
